Jefferson said, “Governments tend to grow and Freedoms ten to yield.” True enough, and it also is known as cultural creep — where changing times and human’s outlook shifts to adjust to the changes — good or bad. While societies shift mostly from their leader’s moves to make things better, meaning their beliefs, so governments grow from the added legislation. When governments expand from more legislation, it is always at the cost of the people’s freedoms and rights, while the people are impervious to the creep as they stay immersed in their own thoughts or problems. There are not awakened until after the fact, when it is too late.
I argued with a PhD professor. He said that governments do not stay limited, and today American’s do not have a limited government though the Constitution was created to limit government. I look at America’s first 200 years of accomplishment and don’t believe American lost Her limited government then. It was recreated after the Civil War in the North and much later in the South.
I argue that America’s Constitutional limited government broke down for two reasons. It didn’t just happen. There has to be a reason and cause for it. We, the People, got sold a bill of good for a war to end all wars. Wars won to protect a democracy do not create peace or prosperity. They have been used to create distractions to create unpopular or only authorities-wanted legislation. Wars open doors for the minds of Fascists’ opportunities to attempt world rule out of war’s destruction and confusion (Hitler after WWI, Brotherhood of radical Islam jihadists after the Cold War). America’s shift from her Constitutional government occurred because of Her change in Education, and the Founder’s omission when creating the Constitution.
America’s education was changed, commencing in 1899, when the Fabians (of London) came to America to create their world of socialism and global government, by changing society through Education and permeation. They penetrated America’s colleges of influencing minds with their ‘New Education’ (old Marxist-Socialism). Their efforts showed up in Woodrow Wilson’s administration. In 1932, John Dewey, a Fabian Educational Socialist, became president of the National Education Association and commenced an indoctrination of Socialist beliefs into America’s lower education to complement the indoctrination of the same in the colleges. Franklin D. Roosevelt, as President (also a Fabian-Socialist) introduced Socialism into America’s society. The creep from the two occurances were gradual and well-hidden from the people. By 2008, America’s administration and majority in Congress, along with four of the Supreme Court justices, were forcing Socialism’s beliefs into the society. America’s limited government, from the Socialist’s encroachment into government and law, was now a thing of the past. The people’s freedoms, rights, and Rule of Law were being narrowed daily. The Constitution was being destroyed; and still is!
The other reason America’s limited government failed; America’s Socialists were able to gain power, was caused by the omission of the Founders in creating the Constitution.
THE FOUNDERS DID NOT GIVE THE CONSTITUTION A MEANS TO PROTECT ITSELF, NOT THE PEOPLE THE MEANS TO GUARD OUR FREEDOMS, RIGHTS OR RULE OF LAW. THAT CAN BE REMEDIED WITH A SIMPLE AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION. IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO BE ACCOMPLISHED.
The definition of Treason in Article III, Section 3, of the Constitution needs to be brought into the 21st Century to serve America in Her dire need. Included in the definition, by amendment, should be the clause that makes all whose efforts or sedition will or can destroy the Constitution to be made the Traitors they are, punishable for treason.
And as We, the People move to amend the Constitution as stated, without calling a Constitutional Convention, but by passing both Houses of Congress by a 2/3 majority and ratified by 3/4 of the States (38), and it’s a done deal. It might be advisable to put some teeth that bite in the Oath of Office. The Oath states, “TO PRESERVE, PROTECT, AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” But it’s abuse is horrific, ignored, and unconsidered by all who take it except our military. That should be a crime of perjury.
The message that America can be saved and restored to the Founder’s principles needs to be spread far, wide and often to put the amending process into action. Your job is to spread the message!
If the States can ratify as Congress passes the Amendment, the people should move to ratify their state in the interest of getting it done as soon as possible. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! SAVE THE CONSTITUTION!!!
